This painting embodies the wild exotic beauty that tropical plants possess. Bright orchid petals, furry hibiscus pistils, whimsical canna flowers and many other elements of flora became the inspiration for this artwork. The geometry of the strokes has something of the outlines of Strelitzia. I boldly mixed paints and created color contrasts. I chose pure bright colors to convey the lush bloom of the tropics. Therefore, the canvas combines yellow, orange, reddish shades with black and white. It is the presence of black and white spots that balances the bright colors and makes the picture expressive, but harmonious.
