This abstract canvas is very special to me. It was this original painting that I began to create a series of vibrant contrasting art canvas paintings involving bright color combinations. The process of creating Seasonal Touches opened up new facets of my artistic style. And upon seeing the result, I realized that I love experiments. I enjoy taking a step into the unknown and try something new.

This abstract painting was born from my desire to capture a Lisbon summer evening. However, as I progressed, I moved further and further away from the realistic depiction of architecture, allowing myself to retain only a few pink elements that faintly resemble houses. What did I get? A vibrant and expressive painting, that captures the endless movement of this city, the contrast of its affluent neighborhoods and slums, its free-spirited vibe, its street performances and plenty of contemporary artists who fly here to recharge with Lisbon’s energy.

I used a lot of blues, whites and pinks, adding touches of black strokes scattered across the canvas. I applied paint using several techniques, sometimes allowing it to spread freely over the surface of the canvas, leaving drops and streaks on it. Before completing the process, I took a final look at the canvas and realized that it was exactly what I had envisioned from the very beginning!
