Canvas is an extremely strong unbleached or plain-woven fabric used for making items for which firmness is required. Nowadays artists use it as a surface for oil paintings. Modern canvas is usually made of cotton or linen, typically stretched across a wooden frame called a stretcher or underframe.
Stretched or unstretched?
For our dearest clients, we are providing three options of stretching: unstretched, stretched, or stretched with a frame.
Unstretched painting is a canvas without a stretcher on its back and it comes rolled in the tube. If you decide to go with this variant, you need to stretch it in the nearest art workshop after receiving your art. You may rest assured that your painting will look outstanding. All our works are gallery wrapped and we always leave extra inches for stretching.
Stretched painting is a canvas stretched on wooden stretcher bars and including special mounting for hanging. All you need to do after receiving is to hang the beauty on the wall and enjoy the view.
Frame
Additionally to the stretched paintings, we offer wooden floating frames of a wide range of colors (gold, white, black+silver, etc.). The frame allows your painting to shine in new splendor and perfectly combine with your interior.
