KARATE
Goju-Ryu (Jap. 剛柔流) is one of the most common styles of karate. It is based on close combat technique, which includes strikes with elbows, knees, throwing technique, grabs and wrestling on the ground. There are 3 main variations of this style - Okinawan, Japanese and American. Founder Chojun Miyagi. On this canvas the artist depicts his childhood hobbie as well as the one of his favourite carate styles.
The artist admits that a beautiful girl inspired him to draw this artwork. But the name of the muse remains unknown. Perhaps it was the character of a romantic book or an actress from a popular movie about love.
