The artist calls this painting "abstract stained glass". It was inspired by the stained glass windows in the Palais Guell.

Having visited this place, the artist was impressed by the play of light and texture, which make the art of glass alive and memorable.

However, the colors used in the painting are not too bright. The artist uses muted shades of noble graphite gray, deep black and luxurious gold leaf. Thanks to the gold leaf, the picture acquires depth, it is exciting for the viewer to look at it for a long time, since at different viewing angles and under different lighting the artwork looks completely different.
